About
Since I can remember (dating back to childhood) I always had an inherent and meticulous eye for detail, color, and symmetry. Family, friends, and peers referred to me as an artist, often asking me to draw their name or "something cool." I frequently took requests because I enjoyed the feeling of my efforts bringing a smile and sense of wonderment to others. Little did I know that I was practicing principles of graphic design long before I even knew what they were. When it was time to pick a major, I knew my drawing skills were a stepping stone to a bigger pond of dexterity. After undergoing a portfolio review, I was accepted into a strict and impacted design program at California State University, Sacramento. There I earned my Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design where I took extensive coursework in design theory. It felt like med school for aestheticians where science and art, beautifully converged. Now as a versatile designer, I've put what I have learned into practice across industries such as education, optometry, solar energy, and have created work for some of the biggest names in tech. I've developed typographic etiquette and have become fluent in color theory, composition, layout, and underlying grid systems. I'm a humble learner and will always be a student of the craft, in pursuit of the best visual solution.
